Sterling Valley Systems Launches Inntopia 4.0 Reservation System
Enhanced technology gives lodging properties dynamic packaging and increased flexibility with online distribution.
Stowe, VT - April 5, 2004 - Sterling Valley Systems, Inc., operators of the Inntopia online booking engine, announces the launch of Inntopia 4.0, a comprehensive update and rebuild of its industry leading online vacation booking solution.
With Inntopia 4.0, lodging properties get increased flexibility of their online offering at their own web site. With dynamic packaging capabilities and new sales channel management, lodging properties can now publish special rates and packages only at their own web site or at specific partner sites, maintaining more control over their rates and their brand.
"We've invested significant time and resources into this new build," comments Sterling Valley Systems president, Trevor Crist. "Lodging properties are looking to extend their product offering from their own web sites, and to have better control over their distribution to partner sites. Inntopia 4.0 offers them the most comprehensive packaging and sales channel management options available anywhere."
Other added features include added rate flexibility, a simpler online administration, extensive reporting capabilities, highly-customizable booking screens, enhanced security options, flexible business rules and more. Consumers will see speedier searches, enhanced search capabilities, and flexible packaging options. The upgrades are based on customer input and incorporate a new and streamlined technology infrastructure, and makes extensive use of XML for transferring, manipulating and sharing data.
The new build also complies with the latest OTA (Open Travel Alliance) specifications, and extends Inntopia Innterface, Inntopia's XML-based interface, to existing PMS and CRS systems.
Lodging suppliers using the Inntopia online reservation system will continue to be able to offer online reservations at their own web site, through Inntopia partner sites, and worldwide through the GDS and IDS systems.
"This is not just a facelift, it is a completely new system build with new features and improved functionality," adds Crist. "The Inntopia system has always been easy to use and functionality rich, but the new system is a huge technological advance. We now have the technological infrastructure that positions us well for future growth and partnerships, as well as continued profitability."
