Stowe Area Association Chooses InntopiaCRS Call Center Software.
Flexible ASP technology allows for seamless Internet reservations and incorporated events and activities bookings.
Stowe, VT - November 5, 2004 - - Sterling Valley Systems, Inc., operators of Inntopia, today announces that the Stowe Area Association (SAA) has chosen InntopiaCRS for its call center technology. Installation will take place this month, in advance of the 2005 winter season.
"SAA made the decision to go to a web-based Central Reservations and online booking software system after performing a thorough evaluation of the options available to us for our Central Reservations and Visitor Information Center," shares Valerie Rochon, executive director of Stowe Area Association. "We chose InntopiaCRS because the software exists and is successfully installed in other locations, the functionality is easy to use and the rate and set-up structure are intuitive and, of course, because the technology enables the booking of not only lodging inventory, but also Stowe-area activities and attractions."
InntopiaCRS, designed specifically for destination call centers, is a hosted, browser-based model that integrates seamlessly with Internet reservations at the call center’s Web site and GDS and IDS providers, allowing for greater distribution of inventory. The model also enables non-lodging suppliers, including activity providers, equipment rental outlets and event promoters, to distribute inventory through these channels, for maximized customer packaging.
"This system is the right thing to implement at the right time," adds Michael Diender, owner of Sun and Ski Inn, president of SAA board of trustees and participant in the evaluation committee. "As a member of the area’s lodging community and a representative of SAA, I feel that this system will be a win-win for everyone, including the Stowe customer. The technology is functionally rich, yet easy for everyone to use, and it accommodates for booking of non-lodging inventory, which is a great benefit to the Stowe visitor."
Agents look up rates and availability through a common Web browser. Third party members, including lodging and non-lodging suppliers, maintain rates and availability through a simple browser-based administrator. InntopiaCRS features include intuitive agent screens, robust source tracking, flexible reporting, automated billing and commission processing, and support for dynamic packaging and sales of a wide variety of travel products. It allows call centers to lower their administrative overhead, while offering expanded distribution options to their suppliers.
"We are obviously pleased to be selected by SAA," says Trevor Crist, president of Inntopia. "It’s very gratifying when a group of area business people reviews all that is out there and decides that your product is the best fit for their needs. We designed this system with the SAA model in mind, and we think that it will be a great solution for the call center and area businesses."
